Pathology Assistant under the supervision of a pathologist assists with preparing and dissecting surgical specimens. Prepares and selects tissue samples for analysis. Being a Pathology Assistant may record findings or sterilize equipment. Requires a bachelor's/master's degree from an accredited program. Additionally, Pathology Assistant may require certification as a pathologist assistant. Typically reports to a pathologist. Our private practice seeks a Massachusetts licensed Speech–Language Pathology Assistant to provide direct and indirect speech and language therapy services in an adult day habilitation settings. The successful candidate will provide speech/ language therapy services to adults with developmental disabilities under weekly supervision of a licensed speech/language pathologist.
In addition to providing direct speech/ language therapy services, this position will provide the successful candidate an opportunity to participate on an interdisciplinary team, train instructors, fabricate assistive augmentative communication systems, and program speech generating devices.
This multifaceted position requires the candidate to be well organized. Experience working with adults with developmental disabilities is preferred.
The successful candidate will work as an independent sub-contractor.
Our practice has provided speech and language therapy services throughout southeast Massachusetts and Cape Cod for over forty years.
