    The Position 

    The Strategic Accounts Director is critical to UTG delivering our ambitious growth goals, as it is responsible for managing the partnerships we have with our largest and highest growth customers. This role requires a good mix between proactive collaborative account planning and highly responsive customer care. Key job duties include:  

    • Maintain positive and trusting relationships with several stakeholders within our customer organizations. 
    • Grow the accounts over time by understanding customers’ businesses and developing ideas and plans for how we can further serve them in the coming years. 
    • Manage a rigorous strategic account calendar, completing everything from QBRs to annual planning sessions.  
    • Work with people effectively at all levels and across all functions of our customers’ organizations.  
    • Garner the support of resources internally at UTG to meet commitments to our strategic accounts.  
    • Develop relationships with new potential accounts through networking and going after a target list of potential strategic customers.  
    • Demonstrate detailed knowledge of customer pain points and UTG’s products and services being offered, ensuring that we consistently meet client needs and deliver value in the manner in which they perceive it.  
    • Match customers’ sense of urgency in resolving any client concerns while addressing the root cause. 
    • Continually learn and experiment to best understand our offerings, and maintaining partner qualifications 

     

    The successful candidate will have many or all of the following qualities: 

    • 5 – 10 years of Sales experience including a track record of exceeding expectations in a Key Accounts Leader role. 
    • Experience in the technology industry. 
    • Bachelor’s degree. 
    • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets and customer service KPIs if applicable. 
    • Proven track record of acquiring and retaining key customer accounts. 
    • Strong understanding of technology and Modern Workplace technologies (MS Teams, Zoom, Cisco Webex, etc.) 
    • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, along with a track record of successful customer negotiations.  
    • Strong relationship building and networking skills. 
    • Must be comfortable selling high dollar value solutions to senior executives.
    • Able to swiftly resolve any key client concerns while addressing root cause. 
    • Able to work in a dynamic, collaborative, evolving environment. 
    • Able to quickly learn and build technical capabilities. 
    • Experience in various types of sales (closing deals, lead generation, business development, etc.) a plus.
    • Desire and ability to grow within UTG.
