    As a Patient Accounts Representative at Peak ENT Associates, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial health of our organization while delivering the highest level of patient experience. You will be responsible for managing patient accounts, collecting outstanding balances, and working closely with patients to resolve financial matters in a compassionate and empathetic manner.

    Key Responsibilities:
    • Contact patients to discuss outstanding balances and payment options, providing exceptional customer service throughout the process.
    • Verify and update patient insurance and demographic information as needed.
    • Review and analyze patient accounts for accuracy, identifying discrepancies and resolving billing issues.
    • Educate patients on their financial responsibilities, including co-pays, deductibles, and payment plans.
    • Utilize our practice management system to document and track patient interactions, payments, and follow-up actions.
    • Work collaboratively with the billing and coding team to address complex billing inquiries and appeals.
    • Maintain compliance with all healthcare regulations and billing guidelines.
    • Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency of patient collections.

    Qualifications:

    • Proven experience in patient collections within a healthcare or medical billing setting.
    • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centric approach.
    • Strong problem-solving and negotiation abilities.
    • Familiarity with medical billing and insurance terminology.
    • Proficiency in using healthcare billing and collections software.
    • High ethical standards and adherence to patient privacy regulations.
