JOB SUMMARY:
The Patient Account Representative is responsible for performing resolution-oriented billing to achieve maximum payment of assigned hospital and physician receivables. Completes timely billing on assigned accounts, in a compliant manner. Identifies trends and their root causes per OMC policies and procedures. Maintains an appropriate level of productivity, as defined by department guidelines. Completes comprehensive account management review on paid and unpaid accounts to ensure payment is made, applied and posted correctly. Monitors and completes all steps necessary to obtain payment and resolution on outstanding balances.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience
Minimum of six months previous clerical experience related to health care insurance billing required.
