Patient Accounts Representative organizes inpatient and outpatient claims for electronic or hard copy mail and forwards to appropriate third party payers. Reviews claims to make sure that payer specific billing requirements are met, follows-up on billing, determines and applies appropriate adjustments, answers inquiries, and updates accounts as necessary. Being a Patient Accounts Representative requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. As one of the first points of contact for our patients, the Patient Services Representative will be expected to provide high quality customer service in terms of appearance, demeanor and interactions with patients and their families. This candidate will work directly with patients, members of our healthcare team and physicians. Duties will also include data entry, scheduling, providing instructions/directions and completing necessary paperwork.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent
One (1) year customer AND clerical assistance experience

Medical office experience preferred as well as knowledge of medical terminology
