Arrowhead Behavioral Health is a 48-bed psychiatric hospital located in Maumee, Ohio. We serve adult patients 18 years of age and older that need mental health and chemical dependency services.  Inpatient offerings include treatment for drug and alcohol withdrawal management and stabilization as well as mental health crisis management. Our outpatient services extend the continuum of care to include partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programs which allow patients to develop and utilize proper coping mechanisms to help establish a foundation for life. Additionally, we offer a Relapse Prevention Program along with a Medication Administration Program to support patients in maintaining lifelong sobriety. 

Patient Account Representative compiles all pertinent information on all admissions and discharges to reconcile computer records with the correct information. Patient Account Representative verifies insurance information with the third party payer to obtain an accurate benefit quote. Follows up with billed entities to ensure payment. Must have experience with Medicare, Medicaid, Worker’s Compensation and other Governmental Agencies/Payers. Patient Account Representative tracks and reports patient account information. Patient Account Representative complies, prepares and posts customer charges to be billed or re-billed to third party payers. The PAR will collect monies from patients in two ways: face-to-face and by telephone.  

Education/Experience: One-year certificate from college or technical school; or minimum 1 year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Skills: Demonstrated communication, time management and computer skills.

Physical Requirements: Must have good visual acuity.  Ability to lift up to 25lbs and ability to push/pull a minimum of 25 pounds. Demonstrate ability to tolerate frequent position changes such as twisting, stooping, reaching, squatting, kneeling, pushing/pulling, and bending positions for complete shift.  Ability to sit, stand, and walk for momentary to extended periods. 

Other: Position requires the ability to work productively and independently. Must follow the security and confidentiality guidelines of Arrowhead Behavioral Health. Performs other duties as may be assigned by the BOD, CFO and/or his/her designee.
