Job Title: Accounts Payable Supervisor

Department: Accounts Payable

Reports To: Crystal Gering – AP Manager

POSITION PURPOSE:

Mentor and lead the A/P team. Assist in invoice to order matching, accurate data entry and record keeping and other responsibilities as assigned etc.
 
 ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

1. Manage the process of setting up new vendors and vendor files, including W-9 documents
2. Ensure all invoices and backup are scanned, organized, and distributed via the shared network.
3. Assist in the matching, keying and coding of A/P invoices when necessary
4. Interact with various internal departments and provide communication to senior leadership
5. Review A/P checks, ACH and wires transfers in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring invoices have proper approvals, correct calculations, coding 
6. Address vendor inquiries in a timely, positive, and collaborative manner
7. Orchestrate 1099  and escheatment reporting
8. Prepare monthly accruals and journal entries, account reconciliations and ad hoc reporting and analysis
9. Assist with month end close duties
10. Provide process improvement as necessary
11. Provide support and documentation to external auditors as required
12. Other duties as required and assigned

 EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

1. 5 years of experience
2. Supervisory experience
3. Extensive knowledge of ERP systems 
4. Advanced Excel skills - VLOOKUP's, formula’s,        generating and manipulating large sets of data for reports
5. Understanding of GAAP accounting standards
6. Detail oriented
7. Strong Interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
8. Good work ethic and displays a can-do type of attitude

LANGUAGE SKILLS

The  ability to read, write and understand spoken and written English. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
