The Manager of Patient Accounts is responsible for all aspects of the revenue cycle. They will implement development of department strategies to maintain and mange key performance indicators to high performance and best practice, they will support the development of strategic direction for department operations and manage the patient accounts team and operations to high performance standards. They are responsible for direct oversight and management of billing, follow-up, denials and payment review teams. They will assure all teams are functioning at a high level with the result of best practice in compliance, cash flow and overall revenue. The Manager of Patient Accounts will align with departments throughout the facility to assure timely release of claims with appropriate codes aligning to optimal reimbursement and compliance.
The Manager of Patient Accounts should be a graduate of an accredited College or University with a B.S. in Business or Health Administration; Masters preferred. They should have a minimum of (6) to (10) years in Patient Accounting, preferably in a hospital setting and knowledge of hospital billing and reimbursement of insurance as well as third-party billing.
