Accounts Payable Representative

Primary Roles and Responsibilities: 

• Manage and maintain vendor accounts payables for Urbana location, EPLAN, Rittal affiliates and consignment accounts within the corporate guidelines, applying the processes and procedures defined by the company.
• Process Invoices in SAP system.
• Manage and maintain accurate account information on the accounting system.
• Vendor/Supplier contact to resolve payment, credit, or billing issues.
• Set up new vendor accounts verify banking information.
• Review incoming invoices, match to P.O., review, and research issues with P.O. Verify payments for accuracy.
• Maintain various spreadsheets.
• File documents and records.
• Maintain strict confidentiality on all accounting matters.
• Other duties as assigned.

What we seek is for someone with a strong analytical mindset to identify trends and opportunities in addition to

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree in accounting or 5 years accounts payable experience preferred.
• Strong computer knowledge including spreadsheets.
• SAP knowledge preferred.
• with accounting software preferred
• SAP a PLUS
• Excel -intermediate level Ability to manage information confidentially.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially MS Excel
