Patient Appointment Scheduler jobs in Albany, NY

The IMA Group is hiring! We have opportunities for an Occupational Health Scheduler and a Tier 1 Scheduler in our Albany clinic. This position is scheduling exams for various clients via phone and email.

*Ability to multitask and follow multiple step directions. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Emailing and writing efficiency is a must*

Specific duties and responsibilities, including but not limited to-

• Handling incoming and outcoming calls
• Monitoring both electronic and manual methods to obtain requests for exams.
• Entering, scheduling and logging appointment information.
• Merging, printing and mailing all occupational health appointment letters.
• Rescheduling appointments per client protocol.
• Providing appointment information to IMA offices.
• Monitoring web scheduling system.
• Professionally handling potential new client calls.
• Maintaining effective communication with office staff, clients and their recipients.
• Handling return mail.
• Performing other related duties as assigned.
• Working overtime as required.

EDUCATION

Required- High school diploma or GED.

Preferred- associate degree.

EXPERIENCE

Required- One year of scheduling and one year of medical office experience.

Preferred- Knowledge of medical terminology, 2-4 years scheduling experience.
