Responsibilities:
- Greet and check-in patients as they arrive at the medical office
- Schedule and confirm appointments for patients using the medical scheduling system
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries from patients, providing excellent customer service
- Verify patient insurance information and collect necessary co-pays or payments
- Maintain patient records and ensure all information is accurate and up-to-date
- Follow HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and organizing documents
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure smooth operations of the front desk
Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a medical office or as a medical receptionist is preferred
- Familiarity with medical scheduling systems
- Proficient in using office equipment and computer software programs
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of phone systems and ability to handle high call volumes
