To assist the Chief Quality Officer to operationalize the risk management and patient safety programs and provide day to day oversight. This includes managing and analyzing risk management data, oversight of the incident reporting system, facilitating systems analysis to promote and improve patient safety, developing and presenting risk management education based on identified trends / needs. To function as the Patient Safety Officer. To assist in coordination of survey readiness - conducting regular risk assessments. Assist with Infection Prevention Attends medical staff meeting / committees as assigned and takes minutes as assigned.

Experience REQUIRED:  Minimum of 3 - 5 years in related activities, excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written).  Information management skills including data entry - word processing - ability to graphically display information, excellent time management skills, ability to maintain highest level of confidentiality to protect attorney / client privilege.  High level of critical thinking skills, ability to provide for service recovery,  ability to manage multiple projects / deadlines.  In depth knowledge of Joint Commission standards, other regulatory standards, and federal / state law. 

Licenses/Certificates REQUIRED: RN with current license in Alabama. CPHRM preferred; if not, successfully completing the exam when eligible.
