May review claims or records to ensure accurate completion or coding in an effort to reduce reimbursement denials. Additionally, Patient Registrar, Sr. requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. To be a Patient Registrar, Sr. typically requires 1-3 years of related experience. May be entry level if some experience in the skill.     Position Summary

    • To receive patients and visitors in the Central Registration office and obtain all necessary information and signatures related to the admission process in order to expedite the processing and collection of their patient account.  To project a knowing and compassionate attitude to the patients and visitors at all times.

    Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

      1. Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
      2. License/Certifications: N/A
      3. Experience: N/A
      4. Ability to read and write cursive and printing.
      5. Strong computer skills.
      6. Strong interpersonal skills.
      7. Strong organizational skills.
      8. Medical Terminology preferred.
