Boulder Community Health is seeking a Patient Services Rep who serves as a liaison between patients, families, hospital and medical staff. You will be responsible for the initial screening/triaging of patient or family concerns and complaints. Performs daily rounding in an ongoing effort to identify patient concerns in real time. Assists with data collection and entry for Patient Services. Coordinates with patient safety and risk on grievance process.

Qualifications
Mediation and/or Dispute Resolution Training and Experience (preferred)
LPN training and/or Bachelors Degree in related field (preferred)
2-4 years of professional clinical or non-clinical healthcare experience preferred.
Previous experience in Patient Customer Service preferred.
Responsibilities
Promotes excellence in customer service.
Routinely seeks perceptions about quality from all of our customers and follows through to settle issues of clinical care and communication across the continuum.
Routinely visits patients throughout the hospital to offer support, explore patient issues and represent the hospital to patients to insure patient satisfaction with services.
Provides feedback directly to area leaders regarding patient issues and promotes resolution of these issues.
Interfaces with Managers and Clinical Team Leaders regarding patient issues and promotes resolution of these issues.
Triage and investigate inquires and complaints about charges, costs, insurance processing that is not directly related to care concerns or patient safety & occurrences
Assisting patients in understanding charges, billing and account processing
Assist with referrals to financial counselors/screening for financial services as indicated
