Patient Representative acts as a liaison between patients, families, and the healthcare organization to support patient-centric care delivery. Communicates patients' questions, concerns, and issues to appropriate staff members, follows up, and facilitates solutions as needed. Being a Patient Representative explains policies, procedures, rights, and applicable regulations to patients and provides informational resources about available services. Working with multi-disciplinary teams may make recommendations for improvements to the patient experience. Additionally, Patient Representative may participate in discharge processes or administer patient satisfaction surveys. Follows all applicable regulations regarding patient information privacy policies. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Patient Representative works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. Has gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job.     What is your role?

    As a Patient Administrator, you are responsible for meeting internal and external client needs, by interacting and assisting patients in person, by email and phone.  You are the main point of contact for our clients and should strive to handle all interactions with respect and positivity.


    What do you bring to the team?

    • Your education (minimum High School Diploma or General Education Equivalent)
    • Your strong Customer Service experience, with medical office experience or training preferred
    • Your experience in scheduling, insurance inquiry and pre-certification, and patient collections to effectively manage patients’ needs and questions
    • Your knowledge and experience using Microsoft Programs such as Excel, Word, and Outlook


    What are you going to do to as part of the team?

    1. Schedule patient visits in accordance with patient availability, therapist’s plan of care and insurance requirements.
    2. Execute the full cycle of the patient services: handling of patient’s information, processing medical documents, providing information on benefits and insurance data, medical finance information and correspondence with federal, state and local statutes, tracking prescriptions and authorizations, and other functions related to providing excellent customer service.
    3. Support and ensure the effective communication between caregivers and outside sources, such as referring doctors and legal practices; keeping up with appropriate referral documentation and follow through.
    4. Work alongside the caregiver team, collaborate and support the staff to accomplish our goal of providing quality health care in our community.
