Patient Representative acts as a liaison between patients, families, and the healthcare organization to support patient-centric care delivery. Communicates patients' questions, concerns, and issues to appropriate staff members, follows up, and facilitates solutions as needed. Being a Patient Representative explains policies, procedures, rights, and applicable regulations to patients and provides informational resources about available services. Working with multi-disciplinary teams may make recommendations for improvements to the patient experience. Additionally, Patient Representative may participate in discharge processes or administer patient satisfaction surveys. Follows all applicable regulations regarding patient information privacy policies. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Patient Representative works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. Has gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job.     We are searching for a Patient Services Ambassador (dietary aide) to perform a variety of duties in ensuring customer and patient satisfaction. Ensures as directed that patient meal selections are as close to mealtime as possible. Adjust selections to diet restrictions WITH the patient. Update and correct patient-selected menus with patient knowledge only. Responsible to use menu correction guide utilizing as a resource assigned dietitian to avoid serious errors in menu correction. Must be able to describe ingredients and features of all menu items. Perform data entry of patient food preferences into the Patient Services Software Platform. Performs duties using the EPIC Platform as needed and or directed. Performs other reasonable duties as assigned.

    **$400 new hire sign-on bonus for this position. (rehires termed more than 1 year also eligible)**

    • Hours: 16hrs
    • Shift: Day/Evening shift with weekend and holiday rotation; 6:30a-3:00p
    • Location: St. Luke's Hospital - New Bedford, MA

    Education and/or Experience Requirements:

    • High School Diploma or GED plus additional courses or training or the equivalent knowledge or experience preferred.
