Patient Representative acts as a liaison between patients, families, and the healthcare organization to support patient-centric care delivery. Communicates patients' questions, concerns, and issues to appropriate staff members, follows up, and facilitates solutions as needed. Being a Patient Representative explains policies, procedures, rights, and applicable regulations to patients and provides informational resources about available services. Working with multi-disciplinary teams may make recommendations for improvements to the patient experience. Additionally, Patient Representative may participate in discharge processes or administer patient satisfaction surveys. Follows all applicable regulations regarding patient information privacy policies. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Patient Representative works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. Has gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job. This job is a Part Time you will be paid $40.00 per hour for drills, RRS Team Meetings, Inventory, etc. For call out responses the pay rate is $ 200.00 dollars an hour. The team is an ON CALL HOSPITAL PATIENT DECONTAMINATION RESPONSE with 6-10 hours per month @ 40.00 per hour. We are looking for individuals interested in Hazmat and want to make extra money in conjunction with their current employment.
***The first meeting with RRS is an interview process and is NOT PAID.***
Applicants for will be EXPECTED to respond and assist other team members with the set up, break down and decontamination of individuals that arrive at specific hospital/hospitals contaminated with Hazardous or potentially Hazardous Materials.
Applicants for will be expected to attend RRS team meetings once a month for response training to hazmat patient decontamination processes.
Applicants for must be able to lift a minimum of 40 lbs.
Medical experience is a plus.
Any Hazmat background skills, FRA/FRO or education is a plus for all applicants. Individuals that are looking for experience and training are also encouraged to apply.
