Patient Safety Manager manages a staff responsible for developing and implementing patient safety programs. Supervises the investigation of errors and then plans for resolution of all safety related incidents, including those involving employees, visitors, patients, and situations posing a threat to the hospital's buildings and equipment. Being a Patient Safety Manager maintains records of patient-related errors and evaluates this information in order to identify the cause of the error. Collects, reviews, and analyzes information from the facility's safety programs to identify corrective action and programs as necessary. Additionally, Patient Safety Manager recommends changes, policies, or programs that could prevent future errors. Safety Manager
Based in India, with the potential for international relocation, the Safety Manager will assist in managing all aspects of the company’s Safety Program for assigned projects to ensure the safe construction and operations of EdgeConneX Data Centers. This role requires a strong understanding and strict adherence to industry best practices around Health, Safety, & Environmental (HSE) while on site as well as in the office workplace. The candidate must understand and put into practice daily EdgeConneX HSE standards. This position reports to the VP of Global Systems & Operations Safety.
Primary Responsibilities:
Provides oversight of field safety programs for assigned projects.
Conducts project audits and frequent inspections to ensure compliance, evaluate performance, identify corrective action, and implement follow up assessments.
Provides input into corporate and site-specific safety training programs and monitors their implementation for compliance and effectiveness.
Responsible for managing overall log of safety inspection activities, reports, and correspondence.
Maintains current knowledge of clients’, OSHA, and regional safety regulations.
Monitors and reports on key site safety metrics to internal and external teams on a weekly and monthly basis. These metrics include, but are not limited to, OSHA (or equivalent) log maintenance and filings, SiteDoc software compliance, the use of daily activity briefings and associated high risk activity plans (HRAs)
Participates in weekly and monthly safety meetings and provides rotating on-site project presence as assigned.
Provides safety presentations on an as needed basis.
Tracks and maintains proof of safety certifications and training for employees and contractors.
Expectation is to spend the majority of time at site based in India and work remotely the remainder of time.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Strong communicator in both written and verbal English.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects/responsibilities.

Organizational, reporting, and time management skills.
Knowledge of OSHA (or equivalent) and other state/local environmental regulations.
Ability to perform safety incident investigations and root cause analysis.
Average computer competency and experience using Microsoft Office tools.
Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time.
Experience/Education
10 years of industry experience with a focus on safety or construction management, and reporting processes and procedures
Bachelorette degree in EHS, Facilities Management, or related field equivalent experience
OSHA 30 safety certification required within three months following job start.
