Patient Safety Specialist assists in the development and implementation of patient safety programs. Gathers data detailing patient-related errors and conducts analysis for management detailing the cause of the error. Being a Patient Safety Specialist recommends changes, policies, or programs that could prevent future errors. Gives presentations and training programs meant to increase awareness of patient safety initiatives. Additionally, Patient Safety Specialist tests patient-safety knowledge of employees and recommends changes to training programs. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Patient Safety Specialist contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. As a patient service specialist, you’ll manage both the patient side and business side of our center. The front desk is your station to be a patient advocate, communicate with individuals via email and phone, manage patient payments and utilize multiple computer programs. PSS - is accountable for accurate patient registration, insurance benefits verification and authorizations, when required. This position ensures compliance with relevant laws, regulations and established company policies and compliance programs. The PSS – will help to provide coverage in centers identified within the defined market consisting of the following locations in Pennsylvania: Harborcreek, Erie, Edinboro, Titusville, Seneca, Franklin and Stoneboro.
