Position Summary

• The Procurement Specialist requests quotes for price and delivery and procures goods and services for the branch operations team.
• Essential Duties & Responsibilities
• Requests quotes for price and delivery based on specifications received from sales, estimating, design, and operations.
• Procures goods and services for operations teams.
• Issues purchase orders according to proper policies and procedures.
• Provides technical guidance to ensure compliance with professional and departmental standards.
•  Assists departments in obtaining information on requested products and in the preparation of purchase specifications.
• Maintains documentation of buying transactions.
• Reviews and monitors incoming requisitions, confirming orders.
• Serves as a resource in solving customer or vendor problems.
• Investigates discrepancies and reports findings, such as invoice discrepancies.
• Prepares local bid invitations.
• Documents all related activities and completes forms and reports.

Required Qualifications

• Education – High school diploma or GED
• Experience – 3 years of related experience in purchasing
• Knowledge of - 
  • Purchasing modules of ERP systems
  • MS-Outlook, MS-Excel (basic knowledge)

Preferred Qualification

• Experience in the Construction industry
• Experience in a Services industry

Compensation $33/hour
