Patient Safety Specialist assists in the development and implementation of patient safety programs. Gathers data detailing patient-related errors and conducts analysis for management detailing the cause of the error. Being a Patient Safety Specialist recommends changes, policies, or programs that could prevent future errors. Gives presentations and training programs meant to increase awareness of patient safety initiatives. Additionally, Patient Safety Specialist tests patient-safety knowledge of employees and recommends changes to training programs. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Patient Safety Specialist contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project.     Job Purpose
    The AV Specialist works closely with the Classroom Technology Services team to install, maintain, and support Gonzaga’s classroom and conference room environments. This position is responsible for audiovisual (A/V) equipment installation, software installation, validation of custom control systems, repair of instructional technology equipment, and related electronic equipment.

    • Lead the installation and integration of Crestron or Extron AV equipment, including control systems, audio, and video components, displays, and infrastructure.

    Minimum Qualifications
    • 5 years of experience supporting Crestron or Extron AV systems. Or 7 years of experience if substituting for education requirement.
    • Strong knowledge of audio and video signal processing, codecs, and distribution.
    • Familiarity with network protocols and IP-based AV systems.
    • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
    • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.


    Desired Qualifications
    • Crestron Certified Programmer (CCP) certification.
    • Experience designing and supporting Zoom rooms.

    Physical / Environmental Qualifications
    • Pick-up, carry and move items up to 25 pounds on a regular basis and up to 75 pounds, as needed.
    • Mobility around campus in various weather conditions for installation of equipment, personal computers and peripheral equipment.
    • Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, stretch, crawl and reach.
