DiVal Safety Equipment, a leader in the Fire, EMS and industrial safety equipment distribution business, is looking for a highly self-motivated individual to inspect and service fire extinguishers, eye wash stations and emergency lights. Other responsibilities include replenishing PPE vending machines, 1st aid cabinets and maintaining vendor managed inventories at customer locations. Will assume other duties as assigned. Professionalism, highest quality workmanship and attention to detail are required. The main responsibility of this position is to provide a safe, efficient and dependable operational support in our Albany, NY branch.
Duties and Responsibilities -
•Focus on safety at all times – safety training and direction must be adhered to at all times-report any existing or potential safety concerns to management
•Must complete daily vehicle inspection and make direct supervisor aware of any issues that might require attention
•Provide accurate and dependable delivery of allocated product
•Perform required services on fire extinguishers, emergency lighting and emergency eyewash stations according to established safety requirements on-site with our customers
•Coordinate daily schedules with supervisors and management, working as part of a team
•Promptly arrive at facilities prepared to perform the services as scheduled
•Provide onsite Vendor Managed Inventory replenishment of PPE products for customers as scheduled
Skills and Requirements -
•Strong organizational, communication and computer skills
•Must be detail oriented and self-motivated
•Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on a repetitive basis
•Valid New York State driver’s license with a clear driving record as defined within the DiVal Safety Equipment’s Employee Handbook
•High school diploma / GED equivalent
