Summary
Under the direction of the Logistics Supervisor, this position will be responsible for the safe, efficient and timely transportation of patients and equipment throughout the hospital. Population served by this position is all age groups.
Responsibilities
• Assist hospital staff in transferring patient to and from gurneys, wheelchairs and beds and from patient rooms to other departments.
• Ensures that all patient transports are done in a safe manner, using all safety equipment.
• Must be able to maintain confidentiality of patient information. Tact and courtesy are required at all times.
• Demonstrates customer oriented approach through the expression of respect and understanding when communicating with others. Maintain Mission and Vision Statement and professional performance behavioral standards.
• Ability to receive direction from medical imaging staff and to work as part of an interdisciplinary team while maintaining a professional presence at all times.
• Performs specified duties during a hospital wide emergency.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
