Patient Transporter transports patients to and from their inpatient beds and other areas like therapy, surgery or radiology. Other responsibilities include retrieving medical records, lab results, supplies and medications. Being a Patient Transporter may require a high school diploma or its equivalent. Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Additionally, Patient Transporter typically reports to a supervisor. The Patient Transporter may require 0-1 year of general work experience. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Two Owner Operator positions are open for Hot Shot transport in Houston, TX, and OTR.
Drivers must have:
-Their own pickup truck. Minimum of 3/4 ton.
-Clean driving record and personal truck insurance. CDL not required, but a plus.
-Current DOT physical and experience pulling trailers and/or RVs.
-Their own 35-40ft flatbed (deck space, not overall length)
What to expect:
-Will be assigned a dispatcher and run brokered general freight loads under our MC Authority.
-Will have the freedom to decide what regions you want to travel/avoid.
-Work on your schedule. No pressure to accept/run a load
-Will be responsible for fuel, but fuel cards are available if needed (fuel will be deducted from pay for the corresponding week).
-Payout is 70% of local loads and 75% of loads over 500 miles.
-Will be paid on Fridays for the previous week of Sun-Sat.
