Patient Transporter transports patients to and from their inpatient beds and other areas like therapy, surgery or radiology. Other responsibilities include retrieving medical records, lab results, supplies and medications. Being a Patient Transporter may require a high school diploma or its equivalent. Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Additionally, Patient Transporter typically reports to a supervisor. The Patient Transporter may require 0-1 year of general work experience. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job.     Minimum Requirements:

    • At least 22 years of age.
    • A minimum of 2 years of driving experience with a valid Nevada driver’s license.
    • 10 year clean driving record.
    • Comfortable operating large vans for 8 hours or more.
    • Preferred experience working with a diverse patient population.
    • Excellent customer service skills.
    • Flexibility to work various shifts, including days, evenings, and overnights.
    • CPR certification (or the ability to obtain it within 30 days).
    • Successful completion of DOT drug and physical exams, and background checks.
    • Ability to lift a minimum of 75 pounds.

    Duties:

    • Safe and professional patient transport between homes and medical facilities.
    • Efficient use of map software for navigation.
    • Communication with dispatch for instructions and updates.
    • Adherence to safety protocols and maintenance checks for vehicle readiness.
    • Ability to work well independently and within a team.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • 1 year of experience in non-emergency patient transport.
    • 2 years in a customer service role.
    • Bilingual abilities are a strong plus.
