Patient Transporter transports patients to and from their inpatient beds and other areas like therapy, surgery or radiology. Other responsibilities include retrieving medical records, lab results, supplies and medications. Being a Patient Transporter may require a high school diploma or its equivalent. Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Additionally, Patient Transporter typically reports to a supervisor. The Patient Transporter may require 0-1 year of general work experience. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job.     Patient Transporter at Providence St. Vincent Medical Center (Part-time, Evening shift, Schedule: FRIDAY, MONDAY, and SUNDAY from 12:30pm - 9:00pm.

    Starting hourly rate is $19.70/hr and increases based on your years of experience

    Required Qualifications:

    • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association within 30 days of hire.
    • Experience with computers.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • 2 years of experience working in the healthcare field with patient contact and trained in proper patient transfer techniques, or in a customer service position/field.
