Other responsibilities include retrieving medical records, lab results, supplies and medications. Being a Patient Transporter may require a high school diploma or its equivalent. Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Additionally, Patient Transporter typically reports to a supervisor. The Patient Transporter may require 0-1 year of general work experience. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Provides support to all multidisciplinary patent care departments by providing transport service for patients throughout the institution.
- Require CPR certification within ninety (90) days of hire. Certification must be maintained thereafter.
- Require availability for weekends, holidays and other shifts.
- Require ability to follow verbal and written instructions in English.
- Prefer amiable personality and a willing and cooperative attitude.
- Prefer demonstrated use appropriate customer service skills and judgment when in contact with patients, the public, and other staff members.
