Paving, Surfacing, and Tamping Equipment Operator jobs in Indianapolis, IN

Responsibilities:

- Set up and operate machines to produce parts according to specifications
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work orders to determine machine setup, production methods, and sequence of operations
- Monitor machines during operation to ensure proper functioning and make adjustments as needed
- Perform routine maintenance on machines to keep them in good working order
- Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy
- Troubleshoot issues with machines or products and make necessary repairs or adjustments
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area

Experience:

- Previous experience as a machine operator or in a similar role preferred
- Knowledge of machine assembly and operation
- Basic math skills for measuring and calculating dimensions
- Familiarity with SolidWorks, CAD, CNC, and other relevant software programs
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
- Proficiency in using tools such as calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments
- Experience with materials handling and tooling

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 50 – 65 per week
