Paving, Surfacing, and Tamping Equipment Operator jobs in Ogden, UT

Eckles Paving is looking for Asphalt Paving Foreman and equipment operators to join our team in the Ogden/Salt lake Area. We have multiple crews throughout the Wasatch front. We our a growing company with several advancement opportunities. Candidates should have at least 5 years of experience operating paving equipment, for example.. Pavers, Screeds and rollers. Operators must be able to identify all parts of the machine and best practices for paving a variety of projects. Eckles Paving specializes in custom driveways, parking lots and subdivisions.

Forman responsibilites

• 5 years in the asphalt industry, 3 years operating paving equipment
• Manage crew to effectively and efficiently performn paving operations.
• Make sure everyone on crew is being safe and wearing proper safety gear.
• Train operators on crew how to maintain and operate Paver, Roller and skid steers safety.
• Measure projects for materials and talk to suppliers to get the proper amount

Heavy Equipment Operator Requirements and Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in asphalt paving, 2 year operating asphalt equipment
• Possession of a driver’s license and a clean MVR(motor vehicle record)
• Knowledge of proper operation of paving equipment as well as safety standards
• Strong work ethic and physical ability to lift 50 pounds
• Must be drug free and able to pass a drug test

**We are also looking for laborers with asphalt experience, pay is depending on experience, as well as management personnel

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $36.00 per hour

Expected hours: 50 – 65 per week
