Paving, Surfacing, and Tamping Equipment Operator jobs in Pennsylvania
Paving, Surfacing, and Tamping Equipment Operator operates a mechanical machine to lay gravel, stone, and cold-mix asphalt on road surfaces. May require a high school diploma or its equivalent and 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Being a Paving, Surfacing, and Tamping Equipment Operator is familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Additionally, Paving, Surfacing, and Tamping Equipment Operator performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. Lift/carry materials and perform other duties involving the use of hand and power tools.
Performs manual labor when needed such as digging, shoveling and assisting with removing or placing materials on jobsite.
All candidates must be able to pass a standard criminal background check and work verification check as well as a standard drug screen.
Valid driver license, CDL is a plus
Reliable transportation
Willing to work out of town and weekends. Pay based on experience.Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
Schedule:
- 10 hour shift
- 12 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Overtime
