Paving, Surfacing, and Tamping Equipment Operator jobs in Saint Louis, MO

Capital Paving and Construction is seeking an experienced Concrete Paver Operator in the Central Missouri area. Experience in the heavy highway construction industry is preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operating concrete paver and working with ground crew to ensure proper depth, grade, and finish.
• Assist with loading and unloading equipment and materials from job-site surfaces, vehicles, and/or trailers.
• Ensure company equipment, material, and the worksite are maintained, kept clean, and stored in a safe manner.
• Assist mechanic(s) and provide recommendations for repair, maintenance, and improving performance.
• Other duties as assigned.

• General knowledge of construction materials, tools, and equipment
• Experience with concrete paving projects
• Experience with heavy highway construction preferred.
• Must be punctual, have a strong work ethic, and maintain good attendance.
• Must be able to work as a team on all projects.
• Lift/move up to 50 lbs.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Work overtime, nights, weekends, as needed.
• Stand for extended periods of time.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Willing to travel/work out of town.
• Must pass a pre-employment physical, drug/alcohol screen, & background check
