FORKLIFT OPERATOR JOB DESCRIPTION
Position Description:
Lead a crew in the loading/unloading of freight using specified equipment by company provided means and standards.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities
- Report to supervisor for job and crew assignment
- Utilize written and verbal instructions and previously established guidelines to complete assigned responsibilities.
- Do daily forklift and RF (Radio Frequency) Unit inspection and report to supervisor
- Maintain safety rules at all times
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Ability to perform material handling duties such a lifting material weighing 25- 75 pounds
- Complete all necessary paperwork on-time, accurately and according to guidelines
We are looking for
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred; not required
- One year forklift driving experience with valid and up-to-date forklift driver certification
- Able to speak, read and write English
- Basic math skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to perform well with time-sensitive tasks; multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Regular attendance and punctuality
- Ability to work nights, holidays and weekends is required
- Overtime may be required
- Ability to lift material weighing 50 pounds, occasionally weighing up to 75 pounds
Relocation Not Available; Must have permanent US work authorization
