Life Connections Peer Recovery Services in De Witt, IA is looking for one peer recovery specialist to join our 12 person strong team. We are located in Dewitt Iowa. Our ideal candidate is self-driven, motivated, and hard-working.

THIS POSITION IS FOR SATURDAY AND SUNDAY FROM NOON UNTIL MIDNIGHT.

Responsibilities

A Peer Recovery Specialist is responsible for the following duties:

• Developing trusting and mutually respectful relationships with service participants.
• Listening deeply, and without judgment, to service participants and sharing honestly about one’s own personal recovery journey and wellness and recovery strategies.
• Assisting service participants to develop a self-directed wellness and recovery plan.
• Providing peer-delivered mental health and substance use recovery support services to individuals and groups.
• · Collaborating with a peer support team, including one’s supervisor and other peer specialists, to understand and meet the needs of each service participant.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED. Peer Support Specialist certification. Must be a person with lived experience in recovery from mental health and/or substance use challenges.

Available shifts and compensation: Available shifts on Sundays and Saturdays. Compensation is $12.00 - $14.00/hour.
