Payment Recovery Specialist jobs in Omaha, NE

Our Premium Processing Department is hiring at our Bellevue location!

Processes premium renewal payments, New Business payments, Preneed monies and List Bill payments. Handles no less than 600 per-day combinations of various typical and non-typical premium payments.  Determines if payments and coupons/invoices can be accepted, coded or returned by reviewing customer information.  Reads Policyowner correspondence and determines the appropriate action, batches payments according to type of action to be taken and scans batches to reach the appropriate workflow using computer systems. Performs special jobs on a daily rotation.

 Job Qualifications:

• High school education or its equivalent is required.
• 6 months experience in check processing or similar work experience processing insurance payments is desired to prepare for this position. 
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
• Good attention to detail for analyzing correspondence and researching payments.
• Basic math skills and ability to perform fundamental calculations on calculator.
• Ability to operate PC to obtain and analyze numerous screen displays.
• Ability to demonstrate good penmanship and reading abilities.
• Working knowledge of different Company policies and numerous notice codes, action codes, and status codes.
• Knowledge of OPEX functionality, Mavro software, FTNI software, Case360, Mainframe and Service Desk functionality preferred.
• Ability to inspect machine and recover accurately from jams and piggy-backs to ensure proper credit to customer accounts.
• Ability to determine if checks can be accepted, need corrected, or have to be returned.
• Ability to work efficiently and continuously for prolonged periods of time to meet heavy workload/deadlines.
• Good analytical skills to determine the most appropriate way to apply money when not specified by the customer.
