Payroll Administrator is responsible for the accurate preparation, documentation, distribution and reconciliation of payroll and the administration of the payroll system. Reviews the computation of pay and associated deductions for accuracy. Being a Payroll Administrator maintains up-to-date knowledge of city, state, provincial, local, and federal legislation affecting payroll; understands and follows applicable provisions. Prepares required tax filings and other reporting. Additionally, Payroll Administrator may coordinate payroll processing with an outside service provider. Responds to and resolves any inquiries regarding paychecks or payroll reporting. Ensures payroll issues are escalated and resolved promptly. May require an associate degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Payroll Administrator work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. The Payroll Specialist / Customer Service position will primarily focus on accurately and efficiently processing payroll & payroll tax reporting for clients of Insight Payroll Associates throughout the United States
Responsibilities:
· Accurately and efficiently enter payroll data into multiple payroll software platforms
· Administration and oversight of payroll tax calculation, reconciliation, and payments on behalf of payroll company clients
· Process garnishment and child support orders including processing the set up and termination of such orders
· Management of organizational structure within payroll company including software, client data, and recordkeeping
Quarterly and year end tax management
· Communicate via phone and email; building relationships with clients
· Employee Maintenance (new hires, insurance changes, address/W4 changes)
· Complete essential job functions in a fast-paced and strict deadline-driven environment
· Other duties as deemed necessary and assigned
