Payroll Administrator is responsible for the accurate preparation, documentation, distribution and reconciliation of payroll and the administration of the payroll system. Reviews the computation of pay and associated deductions for accuracy. Being a Payroll Administrator maintains up-to-date knowledge of city, state, provincial, local, and federal legislation affecting payroll; understands and follows applicable provisions. Prepares required tax filings and other reporting. Additionally, Payroll Administrator may coordinate payroll processing with an outside service provider. Responds to and resolves any inquiries regarding paychecks or payroll reporting. Ensures payroll issues are escalated and resolved promptly. May require an associate degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Payroll Administrator work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Legacy Transportation Services is currently seeking a qualified HR and Payroll Supervisor in Sparks, NV.
As the HR & Payroll Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring that Payroll, Benefits Administration is completed accurately and records/reporting are properly maintained.
Your Primary Duties Will Include:
Overseeing accurate and thorough payroll processing to include: garnishments, 401K, Flex Plan, health insurance premiums, state tax accounts. Ensure compliance with state and federal wage and hour laws. Adjusting and recording errors and complaints related to payroll or benefits. Overseeing worker’s compensation claims and handling. Overseeing benefit administration to include accurate payment of premiums due. Leave of absence recording and monitoring. Supervising HR/Payroll staff members involved with payroll and benefits administration completion of company financial, government or third party administration reporting.
