Payroll Administrator is responsible for the accurate preparation, documentation, distribution and reconciliation of payroll and the administration of the payroll system. Reviews the computation of pay and associated deductions for accuracy. Being a Payroll Administrator maintains up-to-date knowledge of city, state, provincial, local, and federal legislation affecting payroll; understands and follows applicable provisions. Prepares required tax filings and other reporting. Additionally, Payroll Administrator may coordinate payroll processing with an outside service provider. Responds to and resolves any inquiries regarding paychecks or payroll reporting. Ensures payroll issues are escalated and resolved promptly. May require an associate degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Payroll Administrator work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Job Summary:
Responsible for processing payroll for both US and Canada locations for the North American operations. Performs a variety of payroll duties ranging from clerical, computing, coordinating, auditing, compiling, verifying, and general ledger posting, as well as all entries for employee payroll data. Other payroll related duties for the corporate payroll office as assigned. Must be proficient inMicrosoft Office products, including Excel, Word, Teams, and Outlook. 3-5 years experience with SAP is necessary. High School diploma is required. FPC or CPP is ideal, but not required. Experience with union and non-union payroll operations. Experience with Kronos for time and attendance is a plus.
