Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Clerk to join our team. As a Payroll Clerk, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll for our organization. This is a vital role in our company as you will be responsible for ensuring that all employees are paid correctly and on time. Responsibilities: - Process payroll accurately and on time using payroll software (e.g., PeopleSoft, UltiPro, ADP, Paychex) - Maintain employee records and ensure all changes are accurately reflected in the payroll system - Calculate and process deductions, including taxes, benefits, and garnishments - Reconcile payroll discrepancies by investigating and resolving any issues or errors - Prepare and distribute paychecks or direct deposits to employees - Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll matters in a timely and professional manner - Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations - Assist with year-end payroll activities such as W-2 preparation Requirements: - Proven experience as a Payroll Clerk or similar role - Strong knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping and general ledger reconciliation - Proficient in using payroll software (e.g., PeopleSoft, UltiPro, ADP, Paychex) - Familiarity with general ledger accounting principles - Excellent attention to detail and accuracy - Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively - Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and integrity - Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Note: All positions must be paid including internship positions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 32 per week
