Payroll Clerk jobs in Lincoln, NE
Payroll Clerk prepares and processes payroll and associated information. Collates and verifies data and inputs into the payroll system. Being a Payroll Clerk updates payroll records and processes routine changes to employee records. Performs basic reconciliation and auditing processes during each pay cycle. Additionally, Payroll Clerk responds to pay-related inquiries from staff. Researches and resolves errors or omissions. May prepare and submit reports and forms required by IRS or other regulatory bodies. Follows all processing procedures, adheres to policies, and maintains confidentiality. Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Payroll Clerk works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. To be a Payroll Clerk typically requires 1-3 years of related experience. (Copyright 2024 Salary.com)

The Accounts Payable/ Payroll Clerk performs general accounting, payroll, and administrative functions in accordance with established policies, procedures, and controls. Records, classifies, and summarizes accounting data.
This position is Full Time, benefited, Monday - Friday, 8:00-4:30pm (flexible on start time), 40 hours per week. No weekends or holidays.
Qualifications
- High School education, Associates level college degree with business focus preferred
- 2-3 years accounts payable, payroll, and accounting experience highly desired
- Demonstrates effective computer skills required with a functional skill level in Outlook, Excel, and Word
- Strong attention to detail and deadline adherence
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Excellent time management and organization skills
- Demonstrates ability to maintain high-level of confidentiality
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrates initiative, self-starter with ability to handle multiple concurrent tasks
