Overview:
The Payroll Manager is responsible for processing payroll weekly. Must keep upto date with Weekly, Montly, Quartly and Yearly reports. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in payroll processing and accounting principles, along with proficiency in various payroll software systems.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Oversee and manage the payroll process for all employees
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll transactions
- Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports
- Manage and resolve issues relating to payroll production
- Collaborate with HR and Accounting departments to ensure proper flow and maintenance of employee data
- Stay updated on federal, state, and local tax regulations affecting payroll
- As needed process all prevaling wage forms and paperwork when awarded a job.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
The ideal candidate should possess the following skills:
- Proficiency in double-entry bookkeeping and general ledger reconciliation
- Experience with Adobe, Excel, Gmail, Word, Acumatica, LCP, DIR or similar payroll software
- Strong understanding of accounting principles
- Solid understanding and experience with payroll and payroll tax laws
- Discretion with sensitive information
- Knowledge of general ledger accounting practices
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
