  • Payroll Specialists at 937 Payroll serve hundreds of area business owners with their human capital management needs impacting thousands of employees.  To keep the 937 community running smoothly, Payroll Specialists respond to emails, take phone calls, reply to texts, enter payroll data, and research technology solutions: we answer questions, offer advice, troubleshoot problems, process payroll, make technology suggestions, respond quickly and put the client first.  We operate based on a hospitality approach and believe that the client's needs always come first.

As a Payroll Specialist, a typical day might include the following:

    • Congratulate a craft brewery owner on opening their new tap room.
    • Call the manager of a technology startup, and walk her through job postings.

    • You like helping people and putting others first.  You get a sense of satisfaction in knowing you helped make someone else's day better.  You are patient and willing to listen.  Teaching someone something new makes you feel warm and fuzzy inside.
    • You pay attention to the details.  As far as you're concerned, anything worth doing is worth doing right, every single time.  You stay focused, pay attention to detail, and nothing falls through the cracks on your watch.
    • You think on your feet.  You like learning new things, and you can learn quickly.  When things change, you know how to roll with the punches.
    • You communicate clearly.  You write well.  You speak eloquently.  You have a thirst for knowledge.  New technology is exciting.  You can explain just about anything to anyone, and you're comfortable communicating in writing and on the phone.
