Payroll Director directs all aspects of payroll processing operations. Establishes and oversees payroll processes and procedures for routine processing, tax reporting and internal financial requirements. Being a Payroll Director designs short-term and long-term strategies to achieve continuous improvement and efficiencies in payroll processing and delivery operations. Keeps stakeholders informed about the status of payroll laws and regulations and develops implementation plans for required changes to operations. Additionally, Payroll Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to senior management. The Payroll Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Payroll Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.   • SUMMARY :

    The purpose of the role is to deliver quality customer service through accurate & confidential payroll services in accordance with the mission and vision of the EVSC Office of Business Affairs.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : Other duties may be assigned.

    • Maintain the master payroll record file for employees in the corporation.
    • Maintain and coordinates payroll for various schools and departments.
    • Process written and verbal employment verifications for employees.
    • Responsible for processing biweekly payroll checks and related reports.
    • Utilize EVSC’s AS system for payroll entry.
    • Generate and review biweekly payroll reconciliations and reports.
    • Maintain accurate records of employee vacation, personal illness, and personal business leave days.
    • Work with human resources department regarding employment matters.
    • Work with managers of various employee departments regarding payroll concerns.
    • Investigate and research employee payroll questions and concerns.
    • Handle phone inquiries from employees regarding payroll matters.
    • Process vacation and contract payouts.
    • Correct account errors reported to payroll.
    • Process stipends for employee groups.
    • Compute additional pay based on various employee contracts.
    • Input miscellaneous payroll amounts.
    • Process and manages new and exiting employees as well as internal transfers.
    • Provide exceptional customer service and collaborates with other departments.
    • Maintain regular attendance.

    • Ability to operate office machinery, personal computers, and related software, including Microsoft and Google systems.
