Payroll Director directs all aspects of payroll processing operations. Establishes and oversees payroll processes and procedures for routine processing, tax reporting and internal financial requirements. Being a Payroll Director designs short-term and long-term strategies to achieve continuous improvement and efficiencies in payroll processing and delivery operations. Keeps stakeholders informed about the status of payroll laws and regulations and develops implementation plans for required changes to operations. Additionally, Payroll Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to senior management. The Payroll Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. General Description
Human Resources Payroll Director works closely with the Executive Director and department managers to recruit and retain talent. Promotes consistent application of and compliance with Facility policies and procedures in addition to State Agency and Federal Health Care Administration regulations; and manages the day-to-day human resource functions.

Qualifications
Education/Training: Associates Degree or B.S. Degree in Human Resources or related field (or relevant professional experience to the position) preferred.
Skill(s): Proficient reading, writing, grammar, and mathematics skills; proficient interpersonal relations and communicative skills; decision-making skill; excellent computer skills; able to operate various office equipment; auditory and visual skills. Must be able to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing, and possess sufficient communication skills to perform the tasks required.
Experience: A minimum of one year experience in human resources related function preferred; experience with recruiting, staffing, recognition, workers' compensation and policy interpretation preferred. Strong organizational, follow-through, and computer skills preferred.
