Payroll Director jobs in Santa Maria, CA

Payroll Specialist is needed for a local strawberry grower.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Review and analyze data from ADS scanners for accuracy
• Review and process weekly timesheets
• File/maintain payroll documents
• Oversee maintenance of employee file, personal information, medical documentation, payroll/tax records, I-9, etc.
• Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
• Weekly payroll tax deposits
• Monthly workers compensation reporting
• Quarterly & Annual Reports
• Assist with annual W-2’s
• Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Controller.

Experience with ADS & Famous software, along with three years of payroll experience preferred. Strong Excel, data entry and organizational skills needed.

Pay will depend on experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
