Payroll Manager is responsible for managing payroll processing operations. Establishes policies and processes that ensure accurate calculation of wages, tax withholdings, and company deductions. Being a Payroll Manager interfaces between finance and human resource departments to provide accurate and useful information. Develops and produces payroll-related statistical reports. Additionally, Payroll Manager ensures accurate and on-time governmental reporting and compliance. Oversees the activities and training of both professionals and support staff. Directs the resolution of complex issues or errors. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Payroll Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Key Responsibilities:
1. Office Management: Keep our office running like a well-oiled machine by overseeing day-to-day operations, managing supplies, coordinating maintenance, and being the welcoming face for visitors and vendors.
2. Human Resources: Maintain accurate employee records, ensure compliance with policies, and handle unemployment claims with precision and confidentiality.
3. Payroll Assistant: Assist Payroll Manager in processing bi-weekly payroll for multiple locations.
4. Administrative Support: Provide invaluable assistance across departments, from organizing events to preparing reports, showcasing your versatility and adaptability.
Qualifications:
§ Minimum 3 years business office/management experience.
§ Proven experience in office management, HR, and payroll.
§ In-depth knowledge of HR policies and payroll procedures. Accounts Payable experience is a plus.
§ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
§ Proficiency in Microsoft word, excel, and HR software.
§ Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
