Payroll Supervisor is responsible for the supervision and coordination of payroll processing operations. Ensures accurate calculation of wages and processing of tax withholding and company deductions. Being a Payroll Supervisor prepares statistical reports on employee pay, commissions and bonuses; vacation, sick, disability and workers compensation leave; taxes, withholding, etc. Oversees the distribution of paychecks and direct deposit programs. Provides training to team on policies, regulations, and processes. Additionally, Payroll Supervisor assists team members with resolving errors or responding to inquiries. May be the first level escalation for complaints or complex error resolution. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Payroll Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. We compete with ADP and other payroll/HR companies daily with an emphasis on personal, expert services provided to our employer-clients. Our Google review and internal client satisfaction surveys rate us at 98-99% in excellence in personally serving our approx 1,100 clients, mostly in Central IN. Daily job functions include attending networking events, developing business relationships with SMB employers, cold calling/canvassing, meeting with prospects and referral sources, learning our Isolved payroll/HR software, nurturing existing client relationships, working with our team of subject matter experts who will help you meet/exceed employers' needs as to payroll/HR, and reporting activities/opportunities to our Client Services Director. Prior experience in B2B sales, branding and networking will help you in this position, as will experience in social media marketing
