Pediatric Psychiatrist evaluates, diagnoses, and treats mental, emotional, or behavioral disorders affecting children, adolescents, and their families. Diagnoses disorders, including nature and extent, determines the appropriate course of treatment, and discusses these treatment plans with the child or adolescent and the responsible adults. Being a Pediatric Psychiatrist prescribes medication when necessary. May need to act as an advocate for the best interests of the patient. Additionally, Pediatric Psychiatrist requires a MD degree from an accredited school. Requires a valid state license to practice. May report to a medical director. Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (Board Certified)
Our outpatient continuum care practice is hiring a experienced psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner with at least 1-2 years of experience practicing as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. We offer continuum care to children, adolescents, adults and strive to offer the highest quality care to patients, families and their loved ones. As a psychiatric nurse practitioner you will be expected to conduct initial psychiatric evaluations, follow up visits of medication management, medication management and brief psychotherapy, a blend of in office and telepsychiatry visits, administration of evidence based scales, documenting all encounters via our MEDENT EMR system.
Requirements:
1-2 years of PMHNP experience required minimum
· NYS PMHNP licensure
· Board Certification ANCC
· NYS DEA Certificate
