Pediatric Psychiatrist jobs in Gary, IN
Pediatric Psychiatrist evaluates, diagnoses, and treats mental, emotional, or behavioral disorders affecting children, adolescents, and their families. Diagnoses disorders, including nature and extent, determines the appropriate course of treatment, and discusses these treatment plans with the child or adolescent and the responsible adults. Being a Pediatric Psychiatrist prescribes medication when necessary. May need to act as an advocate for the best interests of the patient. Additionally, Pediatric Psychiatrist requires a MD degree from an accredited school. Requires a valid state license to practice. May report to a medical director. Salary and Benefits:
- Salary Range: $300,000 to $320,000 annually
- Vacation: 160 hours
- Personal Time: 40 hours
- Continuing Medical Education (CME): 40 hours, allowance of $2,500

- Life Insurance: 1.5x the provider’s salary
- Short-Term and Long-Term Disability
- 401k Plan: matches up to 4%
- FTCA Malpractice Insurance
Responsibilities:
- Schedules such as 5-8s, 4-10s, ensuring Work / Life Balance
- No On-Call, No Nights, No Weekends
- Full Support Staff to aid in patient care and clinic operations.
- Autonomy in psychiatric practice and patient management.
Requirements:
- Open to New Graduates as well as experienced practitioners
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach in psychiatric care
- Clear and Active Psychiatrist License in the State of Indiana
