Diagnoses disorders, including nature and extent, determines the appropriate course of treatment, and discusses these treatment plans with the child or adolescent and the responsible adults. Being a Pediatric Psychiatrist prescribes medication when necessary. May need to act as an advocate for the best interests of the patient. Additionally, Pediatric Psychiatrist requires a MD degree from an accredited school. Requires a valid state license to practice. May report to a medical director. Competitive base salary ranging from $210,000 to $220,000, commensurate with experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive pediatric care to patients in an outpatient setting.
Diagnose, treat, and manage a wide range of pediatric medical conditions.
Conduct physical exams, administer vaccinations, and provide preventive care.
Build strong relationships with patients and their families, offering guidance and support.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records.
Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure integrated patient care.
Qualifications:
Board Certification (BC) or Board Eligibility (BE) in Pediatrics is preferred.
Alternatively, Board Certification (BC) in Family Medicine with a significant pediatric background and interest.
A valid medical license in the state of AL
Strong commitment to pediatric patient care and well-being.
Flexibility to adapt to patient volume demands, averaging a minimum of 20 patients per day, with the willingness to see more when needed.
