Pediatric Psychiatrist evaluates, diagnoses, and treats mental, emotional, or behavioral disorders affecting children, adolescents, and their families. Diagnoses disorders, including nature and extent, determines the appropriate course of treatment, and discusses these treatment plans with the child or adolescent and the responsible adults. Being a Pediatric Psychiatrist prescribes medication when necessary. May need to act as an advocate for the best interests of the patient. Additionally, Pediatric Psychiatrist requires a MD degree from an accredited school. Requires a valid state license to practice. May report to a medical director. Home health aide services may also be provided by a CNA subject to the same supervision described below. If necessary, they may also be provided by an LPN or RN
Provides personal care and related services in the home, under the direction, instruction and supervision of the staff nurse and the Nurse Supervisor
Tasks to be performed by a HHA must be assigned by, and performed under, the supervision of an RN who will be responsible for the patient care provided by the HHA.
Home Health Aide will not administer medications, take physician’s orders or perform procedures requiring the training, knowledge and skill of a licensed nurse.
